I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
